Some additional information that you may find useful.

Class begins at 8:00am. Be sure I have your phone number and/or email so I can reach you if any last minute changes occur. All you need to bring to class is a picture ID and a black ink pen. If you preregistered with TXDPS, bring the entire package to class.

For the range shooting, you will need a firearm (.32 or greater), and 50 rounds of ammo. Also, bring a hat, drinking water, and a towel.

Please, no aluminum, or eastern European ammo. Failure rates are way too high.

$150.00 per person for four people

Pricing includes all the regular services except fingerprinting, which I will help you arrange. Call for details and to schedule available dates.

 OPINION

Don't use cheap ammo.

The failure rate some of the "bargain" ammunition is very high. Some of my students have had to reshoot the qualification because of misfires and misfeeds. Be realistic. The difference of spending a couple of bucks more on 50 rounds of quality ammo or having to reshoot another round is more than an even trade.

Examples of good ammo; Winchester, Remington, UMC, Federal are all brands you can trust if you buy the brass rounds. Next down my list, but still acceptable, are Selliers & Bellot or Blazer (in Brass only). You can almost always find Winchester at all sporting goods stores, and in the sports department of all Wal-Mart stores. A 50 round box of Winchester target ammo (white box) is about  ten bucks.

What don't I like? Anything with steel or aluminum in place of brass casings. Examples...Wolf (steel), Blazer Aluminum. Aluminum is not consistent and tends to stick in the chamber. Steel has several downsides, and is mostly eastern European or Russian origin.

TXDPS does not allow poor quality ammo or reloads on their range in Round Rock, Texas.
